I coached the girl's team at Double Churches from 2005-2017 and I currently coach the boy's and girl's teams at Midland Middle School. I currently play in the +38 league at CASA. I was sitting around the other day wondering how I could spend more time at the soccer field when it occurred to me that board elections were coming soon. All joking aside, I love this soccer league along with the fun, joy, ups and downs it brings to us each week. It would be an honor to be considered for the board.
Cindy Johnson
Cindy has dedicated her enthusiastic and positive energy to volunteering for CYSC since 2014. She became a CYSC Board Member to be a strong parent voice and to add value and insight to a program that has helped make her children successful on and off the field.
Michael Keeney
My name is Michael Keeney and I am writing for consideration in the upcoming Board of Directors election.
I am from the Columbus area where I graduated from Columbus High School before attending college at the University of Tennessee. After graduating with a degree in Recreation and Sport Management I spent the next 13 years working in minor league sports, with the first 10 years concurrently serving in the Tennessee Air National Guard. In 2012 I returned to Columbus to work with the Columbus Cottonmouths until 2015 when I started my second career at Synovus where I am still working today as an IT Manager. I am a resident of Harris County where I live with my wife and two daughters ages 9, and 18 months.
I have been an active advocate and participant in youth sports since the age of 18. I have coached over 30 seasons combined of youth sports across baseball, basketball, and soccer. These opportunities have had me involved as a coach or commissioner across multiple types of league formats including Parks and Rec, Upward, Club Soccer, and Little League. The age of the children I have worked with range from five year olds to Juniors in High School. My hope is to leverage my previous experience into opportunities to continue the growth and improvement of our Columbus Youth Soccer Club.
Casey Lynch
My name is Casey Lynch; my wife and I are small business owners here in Columbus. We were both born and raised here and, outside of college and pre-children adulthood, have lived the majority of our lives in our hometown.
My family has been involved with CYSC for about half a decade now. My 9 year-old son, Asa, has played since he was four years old. In that span, I have been head or assistant coach for his team for about 5 or 6 seasons. I am currently the coach for the U10 coed team, Kingdom FC. I have also coached u8 and u10 girls during the 6 seasons my daughter played. My son is currently in his third season representing CYSC as a Ranger. It would be my pleasure to serve on the CYSC board to continue to give back to an organization that has meant so much to us. Thank you.
Matt Orr

Carson Paris
My name is Carson Paris and I was born and raised in Columbus, GA. I am married to Carrie
Paris and have 2 beautiful children Emerson and Landon Paris. I am a licensed Real Estate
Agent and Broker with Keller Williams. My family has lived in Columbus my entire life and we
have deep roots here in the area.
I grew up playing soccer in Columbus and have been a part of the sport since I was four years
old. I began playing soccer in Bibb City before the Woodruff Farm Soccer Complex was built.
Once the complex was built I transitioned to playing at Woodrufff Farm. Throughout my years
playing I played on a few rec teams, Columbus United which was my travel team, for Pacelli
High school, at the University of Georgia, and again in an Adult league here at Woodruff Farm.
Playing soccer is something I have done all of my life. The sport is responsible for a lot of great
memories and many of my friendships today. Several of my friends are now parents like me and
coaching at the fields today. I currently coach the U-10 Thundercats and have been coaching
since my son was old enough to play. I love that he enjoys the sport as much as I do! I also love
watching all the kids grow within the sport. They don’t realize it now but they are forming lifelong
friendships and learning valuable life skills all through the sport of soccer. Being a part of that
and helping them accomplish their goals is something special to me. This is why I am running
for a position on the board. Coaching is a big part of soccer but so is everything done behind the
scenes. I would like the opportunity to be a part of the board so if you would please consider me. I would appreciate it!
